Pick a video and get a file of 10 MB or less at the best quality that fits. The bitrate and resolution are chosen for you, on your device. Your file never leaves your device.
Upload limits
This tool uses a fixed target and does not depend on a service limit.
How it works
- Choose a video — or drop it on the tool. It is opened in your browser, not uploaded.
- The tool reads its length and resolution and calculates the bitrate that fits the target.
- It re-encodes the video on your device and lowers the resolution only if needed.
- If the result is over the limit, it runs another pass. Download the file that fits.
Didn’t fit? What to do
- Cut the video to the important part: halving the length roughly doubles the bitrate per second.
- Expect a lower resolution on long clips: several minutes in 10 MB usually means 480p or less.
- Check the real limit of the site first: Discord, for example, allows 20 MB without Nitro.
Frequently asked questions
How long can a 10 MB video be?
10 MB is 80 megabits, so a 1-minute video gets about 1.3 Mbit/s for picture and sound together, and a 4-minute video a quarter of that. If even the lowest setting does not fit, the tool reports that the target cannot be reached instead of making a broken file.
Is it 10 MB or 10 MiB?
The tool targets 10,000,000 bytes: exactly 10 MB in decimal units and about 5% under 10 MiB (10,485,760 bytes), so the file passes whichever way a site counts.
What format do I get?
MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio. WebM files stay WebM.
