How it works

  1. Choose a photo — JPG, PNG, WebP or iPhone HEIC.
  2. Adjust the crop frame if the target needs a fixed shape.
  3. The tool searches for the best quality that fits the size and pixel requirements.
  4. Download the result. Location and camera data (EXIF) are removed.

Frequently asked questions

What is the PR card photo size for online applications?

Between 715×1000 and 2000×2800 pixels, 4 MB or less, in .jpeg or .jpg format.

Can I take the photo myself?

No. IRCC asks you to go to a commercial photographer or studio. If you got a digital copy, upload a confirmation from the studio, such as a receipt, with it.

Why is my photo rejected though it is under 4 MB?

The pixel size is checked too. Photos above 2000×2800 or below 715×1000 pixels fail.
